In an era where communication has accelerated to the brink of invisibility and images travel faster than thought, mail art remains one of the last realms of art that insists on touch, time, and materiality. The GLOBAL DIALOGUES IN THE DIGITAL AGE project, organized by Digital Diglis (Worcester, UK), invites collective reflection on the condition of this practice in the 21st century—its transformations, endurance, and possible futures.

Mail art has always been an art of dialogue: slow, personal, and non-hierarchical. Today, however, it functions in a world where letters circulate alongside algorithms and paper competes with pixels. The exhibition at the Entropia Gallery raises questions that are becoming increasingly urgent:

• Is mail art still alive in the way it used to be?

• How has it changed in the digital age?

• Can technology—and artificial intelligence in particular—influence its form, meaning, and future?

This is an invitation to a global conversation involving artists, analog romantics, and digital nomads. These dialogues stretch across continents, languages, and aesthetics—from the tropical archives of SlowPost Studio in the Philippines to European studios where paper still smells of new beginnings.The exhibition in Wrocław is neither a contest nor a ranking. It is a map of contemporary gestures that—though sent by mail—are created in a world dominated by technology. Some works celebrate handmade imperfections, while others explore the tension between the analog and the digital. Still others question whether AI can be a partner in dialogue, or rather an intruder. Can artificial intelligence understand the idea of exchange, of waiting, of material presence? And if so—how does that redefine the very concept of mail art?

GLOBAL DIALOGUES IN THE DIGITAL AGE is a space of encounter—between the slow and the instantaneous; between paper and code; between human and machine.

It is also a reminder that beginnings do not have to be spectacular. Sometimes they start with a stamp, an envelope, and a brief gesture sent out into the world.

In the autumn of 2026, the Entropia Gallery will become a place where these global paths physically intersect—in the form of hundreds of mailings, stories, images, and signs. Each work is a voice in a conversation that is only just beginning.

Projekt GLOBAL DIALOGUES IN THE DIGITAL AGE, organizowany przez Digital Diglis (Worcester, UK), zaprasza do wspólnej refleksji nad kondycją tej praktyki w XXI wieku – jej przemianami, trwaniem i możliwymi przyszłościami.

Mail art od zawsze był sztuką dialogu: powolnego, osobistego, niehierarchicznego. Dziś jednak funkcjonuje w świecie, w którym listy krążą równolegle z algorytmami, a papier konkuruje z pikselem. Wystawa w Galerii Entropia stawia pytania, które stają się coraz bardziej palące:
Czy mail art wciąż żyje tak, jak kiedyś?

Jak zmienił się w epoce cyfrowej?

Czy technologia – a zwłaszcza sztuczna inteligencja – może wpłynąć na jego formę, sens i przyszłość?

To zaproszenie do globalnej rozmowy, w której uczestniczą artyści, analogowi romantycy i cyfrowi nomadzi.

Dialogi te rozciągają się między kontynentami, językami i estetykami – od tropikalnych archiwów SlowPost Studio na Filipinach, po europejskie pracownie, w których papier nadal pachnie początkiem.

Wystawa we Wrocławiu nie jest konkursem ani rankingiem. Jest mapą współczesnych gestów, które – choć wysłane pocztą – powstają w świecie zdominowanym przez technologie. Niektóre prace celebrują ręczne niedoskonałości, inne badają napięcie między analogowym a cyfrowym. Jeszcze inne pytają, czy AI może być partnerem w dialogu, czy raczej intruzem. Czy sztuczna inteligencja potrafi zrozumieć ideę wymiany, czekania, materialnej obecności? A jeśli tak – to w jaki sposób zmienia to samą definicję mail artu?

GLOBAL DIALOGUES IN THE DIGITAL AGE to przestrzeń spotkania – między tym, co powolne, a tym, co natychmiastowe; między papierem a kodem; między człowiekiem a maszyną.
To także przypomnienie, że początki nie muszą być spektakularne. Czasem zaczynają się od znaczka, koperty i krótkiego gestu wysłanego w świat.

Jesienią 2026 roku Galeria Entropia stanie się miejscem, w którym te globalne ścieżki przecinają się fizycznie – w postaci setek przesyłek, historii, obrazów i znaków. Każda praca jest głosem w rozmowie, która dopiero się zaczyna.
